Loan supporting document - work permit

My loan application was approved in principle and I am asked to provide the following document:

"A certified copy of your work permit or passport showing residency status"

Exactly which document needs to be provided for this purpose?

I am on an Australian passport, and have a visa. My passport does not have anything in it other than an entry clearance visa that has since expired (as it is only meant to be used when first entering the country for the first time). So the passport has nothing that is fit for purpose as documentation.

Next, people on visas previously used a Biometric Residency Permit, which shows which visa they are on, but the problem is these have been replaced by eVisas since December last year. So most people's BRP are expired as of 31/12/2024.

So the only document that we have to use now are eVisas, if im not mistaken? There is no other such valid non-expired document as a "work permit" or "passport showing residency status".

I can generate a Share Code for my eVisa and print that, and then get that certified i suppose?

@MMatthews Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

If you send back your credit agreement in the post as normal that would be great. If you call the Loans team on 0345 600 6016 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm Sat - Sun: 9am - 2pm) with your share code for your eVisa that will be fine.

    I hope this helps.
