How do I close my Credit Card Account online?

If you haven’t opened your account within the last 14 days, simply close your Tesco Bank Credit Card account by simply completing this form and emailing it to [email protected].

Before doing this however, we recommend that you please read the following information.

  • Confirmation of closure will be emailed, and future statements sent by post. You’ll need to verify your address in our Mobile App or Online Banking before requesting account closure.
  • To close an account with a credit balance, you’ll need to arrange a Money Transfer first. You can do this through our Mobile Banking App or Online Banking. See our handy guide here: Credit Card Balance Refunds.
  • Once your account is closed, you’ll lose access to your credit card account in our Mobile App and Online Banking.
  • Interest continues until the balance is fully paid. Even if you’ve recently cleared your balance, there may still be interest on your next statement.
  • If you have outstanding debt, you’ll need to keep making your contractual monthly payments. Statements will be sent by post until the balance is repaid and Direct Debits will continue.
  • All credit cards, including those for additional cardholders, will be cancelled.
  • We may need to contact you before processing your request.
