What do I need to do if I’m looking to host refugees?

To further Tesco's support for those affected by ongoing conflict, if you’re housing refugees, there’s no need to inform us for the first 12 months – your cover won’t be changed. We’ll treat the refugee as a family member under your policy, meaning your belongings are covered by your home insurance (providing contents cover has been selected) up to the normal policy limits. For full details of the cover provided please see your Policy Booklet and Policy Schedule.

After 12 months, if any refugees are still living with you, then you should give us a call when you next renew your policy.

Please note that if you’re planning to house refugees and won’t be occupying the home yourself, in your second home for example, or if you have any other questions, please contact us to discuss.
