Would mention that you can also post views on the twitter feed, if they are anything like the companies I work with - tweets seem to register with the 'top brass' a lot more readily than forum posts.... @tescobankhelp Typically they seem to imagine they leave a bigger and longer lasting stain! :)

I'm another who primarily uses my Tesco debit and credit cards for the clubcard points but who will be returning to my Halifax and First Direct cards as soon as they work with Apple Pay. I think it's really shortsighted of Tesco not to have signed up - it's worth missing out on the clubcard points for the convenience (and novelty!) of paying using your watch. I'll give it a couple of months but then will be closing my accounts if nothing has been announced...

Tesco you are an otherwise great bank and I fear you are going to ruin it if you dont introduce support for apple pay. I too give you a 30 day ultimatum. Please keep us updated.

14-07-15, 20:08fl0r15tRe: Apple Pay
Of course, the major sticking point (other than the % to Apple) is probably the recognition of Clubcard points, as the credit card details are not stored within Apple Pay. I imagine sorting out the loyalty schemes wil probably take some time.... the consumer data is as valuable to them as the loyalty generated by giving out rewards. I for one will probably always hold on to my Tesco card. The loyalty scheme itself is as good as any I've found (although nowhere near as good as it was in it's heyday) and more often than not my transactions are greater than £20. Hopefully newer terminals (and upgraded ones) will allow systems like this to exceed any limits though as it is much more secure than merely wafting a card...

I will pass on your comments about the iPhone6 - thanks

We do enjoy collecting clubcard points using the Tesco Credit Card, but failing to recognise the popularity of Apple Pay may just cost you a customer here. My desire to play with this new technology is being temporarily satisfied by the fact our main account, and other credit card, are with a less short-sighted bank. I emplore you to consider the effect of not supporting, or even pledging to support for Apple Pay is likely to have on your customer numbers!
Whilst we're on the subject of Apple tech - please ask your iOS developers to release an updated app that is optimised for the iPhone 6 screen size.

I'm also very disappointed that Tesco aren't even considering adprting ApplePay. I'll be considering changing my credit card provider as well unless they get this issue sorted.

Very disappointed. I've used my tesco credit card so much in recent years but I'll be moving elsewhere because of this answer. Why oh why?

I would also like to express my feelings to have the apple pay.
You provide such a great service and so far a great app for IOS8 it would be a shame if you did not provide the apple pay too however, I will also be following many customers and switching bank accounts. -

I dont know much about Apple pay but am i right that you can only use it if you have an iPhone 6 and certain iPads . I only have a iPhone 5c so if this correct then why does Tesco's need to add this service as not everyone has the latest iPhone. Please correct me if i am wrong.

My BA AMEX and Nat West cards loaded up with ease. I have been using them at TfL, Pret, Starbucks, and Caffe Nero. Just not Tesco. You know Tesco, Britain's number 1 supermarket chain. They are always looking to make a buck, so it does surprise me they didn't do their homework on Apple Pay. Or, were they silly and trying to develop their own payment scheme? Get it together Tesco. My days carrying your physical card are numbered.

The 5c wont work for Apple Pay - it doesn't have NFC technology built in. It would work to upload your bank details to an Apple Watch should you purchase one. -
16-07-15, 10:59alice3dRe: Apple Pay
Add me to the growing list of customers demanding full Apple Pay support at the tills and removal of any cash limit. Touch ID confirms my identity (or in the case of the watch, the fact that it has not been removed from my wrist since I put it on and authorised it).
Come on Tesco. Please get a move on on this. Will be shopping at Waitrose and M&S until Tesco joins in. -

Morrisons just joined the party.

16-07-15, 18:02KPHRe: Apple Pay
Why - if tesco is a real "bank" (?) does it act so late and totally out of what their customers want - credit cards dont even have touch pay on them - or isnt it a real basnk after all....?
-
16-07-15, 22:41AudibryRe: Apple Pay
From Tesco's attitude to their customers you would think that they obviously make so much profit that they can afford to let customers walk away. Don't think that is the case. I tried to register my Tesco credit card last night with Apple Pay. I was amazed when I was told that it was't supported. Couple of months I think, if it's not sorted by then, I may well embrace a more technological bank who wants to keep it's old customers and gain new ones.

It's important for Tesco Bank to get this sorted for those customers, even though it wouldn't directly benefit you. -

So today my wife and I decided that we would change our shopping habits and utilise our Credit Card more. I have a Tesco Credit Card, she has a Nationwide Credit Card. Nationwide supported Apple Pay from the start. Guess which bank we will be using.

I applied for a Santander card on Thursday, it arrived yesterday and I set it up with Apple Pay. Just made my first Apple Pay payment right there and it worked no problem. Whole process was quick and easy, done in 3 working days. I guess I've made my last purchase with my Tesco Credit Card.

TSB give you 5% up to balances of £2000, Tesco Bank 3% of balances up to £3000

Lease bring in support for Apple pay - I want to be able to pop in when I've left my wallet at home and use Tesco. Don't get left behind again, you used to be so good at innovation ?
-
31-07-15, 09:56GriffnutRe: Apple Pay
I've also signed up here just to add my voice to the masses. I've been a tesco credit card holder for years but I think it's somewhat shortsighted not to engage with Apple Pay from the get go. I too will unfortunately be cancelling my credit card and moving over to another bank as the updates from Tescos have not been a) frequent enough and b) vague. Statements like (and I paraphrase) "we understand you are all passionate about apple pay" and "we will consider it alongside our own scheme" etc are no way near strong enough to convince me that anything will happen any time soon. Such a shame.

No Apple Pay support!!!! Tried to load my Tesco credit card onto my Apple watch only to find its not supported. I find it incredible Tesco does not support Apple Pay, Tesco who at one time were one of the the UK’s most innovative retailers. My other bank cards loaded without any issues. Having used Apple Pay at other supermarkets in our area (Morrisons and Aldi), it was so easy to use and means I do not need to carry my wallet, I always have my watch on my wrist, but don’t always have my wallet in my pocket. Come on Tesco Bank, wake up its 2015! PS for the first time is years I am looking at other credit cards that do support Apple Pay and there are some very attractive offers.

Yup. Too slow, I'm afraid, Tesco. I've been a long standing customer. Just transferred to Santander to get Apple Pay. Closing my Tesco credit card. It's a shame, I've always been happy with my Tesco card but this really is a deal breaker. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

It's not going very well is it? Already seems like people are switching. Some sort of indication of when you'll accept Apple Pay might be helpful.

03-08-15, 18:29JeevsterRe: Apple Pay
For everyone stating that tesco should adopt Apple
Pay and bypass the £20 limit, they cannot bypass this limit, it is a U.K. Restriction that rises to £30 on the 1st September, nothing to do with stores or Apple Pay, simply a limit that all wireless transactions are limited too -
04-08-15, 08:09MvunnyRe: Apple Pay
I think I will be looking elsewhere for another credit card if Tescos doesn't incorporate Apple Pay.
You must move with the times Tesco! -
04-08-15, 14:16timsutcliffeRe: Apple Pay
Apple Pay partners are not restricted by this limit.
The limit applies to existing contactless terminals at retailers who don't officially support Apple Pay.
From this website: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204906
"Apple Pay allows your customers to make easy and secure contactless payments at any amount." -
06-08-15, 20:07jamestylRe: Apple Pay
I just moved to tesco bank in the last 6 months (credit and debit) and am gutted to find it now doesnt offer apple pay. Please at least announce its coming before christmas or something and I would happily wait. No announcement though by Sept and i'll cry and leave.
-
11-08-15, 07:14chaddman30Re: Apple Pay
Apple Pay uses a different form of authentication which means it's much more secure than just tapping your card on a contactless terminal. Compatible terminals can be upgraded allowing the merchant and retailer to accept amounts above £20/£30 (from next month). Retailers like Boots the Chemist will allow for any amount to be authorised from later on in the year.

13-08-15, 17:06kebianRe: Apple Pay
I'm also disappointed by this and I am actively looking for a credit card that supports ApplePay. I see that MBNA support it, but I'm not a fan of that company. Barclays rollout is likely to be very slow, so I'm stuck without ApplePay for the foreseeable future.

14-08-15, 13:18RalphRe: Pay Mobile or Pay Contact
I have tried to register my card twice and keep getting told that Apple Pay is not supported. All my other cards support it. Why is Tesco Bank taking so long to do so.

17-08-15, 08:17mattdrayRe: Apple Pay
JoshB - is there any updates on apple pay. I used to use my Tesco card for everything (and still wish to) - however have now switched to another card that works with apple pay for the convenience. Hoping it will only be a matter of time now?

Hello, I too am impatiently waiting for Apple pay or even just common garden contact less. What are the timescales?
-
22-08-15, 06:39ChasRe: Apple Pay
Hi .. could you please update us on plans to support Apple Pay, it seems a little short sighted and will inevitably result in loss of a number of customers who seek convenience for low value payments?
-
22-08-15, 11:06Ff7099Re: Apple Pay
Yep add my name to the people unhappy about this, unless tesco support contactless and Apple pay soon I'm likely to be leaving as well.
-
31-08-15, 12:43RalphRe: Apple Pay
Customers with an apple watch can use apple pay no matter what apple phone they have. Come on tesco get your act together or I for one am leaving.
-
31-08-15, 12:46maverick808Re: Apple Pay
I really don't understand why anyone is waiting on Tesco. They aren't going to support it this year, and maybe not ever. Meanwhile it took me literally 3 days to switch to another bank and start using Apple Pay and I've been enjoying it for over a month now.

31-08-15, 17:04mattdrayRe: Apple Pay
It's because of the clubcard points!!!

01-09-15, 07:49chaddman30Re: Apple Pay
I note (via trade publication The Grocer) that Sainsbury's are to roll out contactless starting September 2015 and through to early 2016. Given that they are now implementing the latest technology I'm hoping Tesco will follow suit; after all my local One Stop store (whom Tesco own) have contactless in their stores!
