Car Insurance Additional Drivers Coverage

Hi, I am looking at a quote for car insurance from Tesco Bank. The summary document states that it includes £5000 personal accident coverage for the policy holder and spouse. Does that mean that additional drivers (who are not spouses) are not covered?

    Thank you any responses!

Hi @StacyMiles, that's right. If you have an additional driver and would like them covered then we have Driver Injury cover as an optional extra. This provides cover for you, or any named driver on your policy, for serious injury or death arising from an accident whilst driving the car, regardless of fault. This is an enhancement of the comprehensive policy, which will pay £5000. There is a total maximum amount payable of £140,000 for each accident. You would not be covered for bodily injury sustained whilst not driving the car on cover.
