I have a couple of Internet Saver Accounts that I would like to close.

If I take all the money out of the accounts (so they show zero) and then completed the "Request to close your Savings Account" form and email it to [email protected] - Will the interest due to me be paid?

If so, into which account will the interest be paid into?

The form doesn't say anything about the interest due to me or how the interest would be paid to me.

@BuzzyBusyBee Hi there, thanks for your message. If you close the Savings account any interest accrued will be included within your closing balance. The funds will go to a nominated account, in your own name, that you set up at the time of opening the account. I hope this clarifies things for you.

I actually closed one Internet Saver Account back in Oct 2022... I've had a look at my nominated account's statement of the time and can see an amount (£1.76) going into my account the day after I sent my "Request to close your Savings Account".


Was this the interest due to me?


I don't remember receiving a statement or even an email to confirm the account had been closed or how much the interest was and where it was paid.



Is there anyway of getting a statement of the Saver Account I had closed in October 2022?
