Tesco bank used to message or ring the customer if they were concerned about a transaction on a card. Now they just refuse the transaction and lock the card with no comunication with the customer leaving the customer embarassed and to find out their card is blocked next time they try to use it. The only way to get it unblocked its by telephone after queuing for hours to get answered. I am currently abroad and have been using my alternative card as I find myself, after recent experiences, afraid to use my Tesco card in case it gets blocked and I have make a very expensive phone call to the UK. I would prefer to use my Tesco card but have become afraid to do so recently. I appreciate Tesco is trying to be secure but have now become so secure and reduced their contact with customers that genuine card holders are now afraid to use their cards abroad.
