Hi, I’ve noticed every time I make a purchase online now I’m being asked to authenticate via the app. Is this some kind of setting I can change? Thought it was only supposed to happen every so often?

Verified AnswerHi @S12345678, as a result of Strong Customer Authentication, you may be asked to verify your identity more frequently when making a purchase on-line. I'm afraid this isn't something we can change.

@KellyT but it’s not just “more frequently” - for instance I’ve made multiple online purchases every week from your-saving.com over the past six months and EVERY single one goes to authentication. Why is this?

If you are receiving continual prompts for authentication from one specific retailer, then this could be due to the fact that some retailers agree with their own payment providers that all transactions require Strong Customer Authentication. Unfortunately we have no control over which transactions are and are not prompted for authentication.
