Recent salary change, how do I prove this for loan application?

Hi all, I've just applied for a loan and noticed that when I was asked to provide my bank statement it mentions that this is for proof of income.

My salary has just increased but I have not yet received my first pay at the new salary. Furthermore, my last pay was around £300 less due to taking paternity leave in April. I was going to give two months of statements to at least prove that I earn more than the paternity pay I got, but still need to prove my current income based on the pay increase.

How can I ensure Tesco Bank know what my new salary is, as I do not currently have a pay slip to prove this. Would a letter from my employer suffice?

    Thanks
