I opened a new savings account and transferred in some money from my (non-Tesco) bank account. The money went by faster payment and the transfer showed up instantly in both my bank and my new Tesco savings account. The following day, wanting to know how quickly I would be able to draw from my "easy access" savings account, I tried to make a small transfer back to my bank, which is clearly set up as my nominated account, but all I get is a red error message "We've been unable to complete your transaction. Please try again."
Trying again doesn't work. I tried this from my PC, without success. I tried from mobile banking, but there's actually no option in the app to withdraw money, despite the promo telling me I could operate my savings account from my mobile. All I can do in the app is check my balance or statements.
Not a promising start to saving with Tesco Bank. What is the problem? Why is easy access actually no access?
