I did a balance transfer from bank of Scotland recently, and as well as it doing it automatically I did it manually too, so bank of Scotland have been sent the money twice. BOS said they can’t send the money back and I’d have to get Tesco to request it back. I did it via the app but got a response saying
We are not able to process a chargeback on a balance transfer, this is due to there not being a merchant to dispute this payment with as the money was sent to your own personal account. However, you can contact out Customer Service department on 0345 300 4278.
but I can’t get through to anybody on customer service who is relevant to help! Not sure where I go from here.
