Savings Account Maturity Swindle?

    Both my wife & I have Fixed Savings Account Maturing this month. My wife's account matured yesterday and we had requested funds back to our nominated account. Having checked today the funds have not arrived. We then checked our Tesco Savings on-line and the account has completely disappeared. On ringing the Tesco call centre we are advised that Tesco's returns fund via BACS "which takes between 3-5 days" unlike ALL of our other Savings providers who return the funds via faster payments on the day of maturity !! Nice little earner Tesco's !!!

    So Tesco’s, why don’t you use faster payments to give your customers their money same day? So they can earn the additional few days of interest?
