Hi

I received my early settlement figure and have paid this amount off.

However it still says I owe £500, which i'm assuming is the interest and just needs a little more time to clear.

However my original repayment date is tomorrow and I am concerned it will try to take the payment to go towards clearing the £500 as it hasn't processed yet.

Is there a way to prevent the monthly payment being taken as I need this morning and can't afford to wait 2 weeks for it to be refunded once the original settlement has cleared.

Should I cancel the direct debit?

Please provide guidance on what I should do, thank you!

Your settlement figure includes any interest you are due back and a charge of up to 2 months interest.
