Absolute long shot here - I just booked £1.3k of basic flights for a trip abroad to visit family. 2hrs later, my family have informed me they can't host us (dates were confirmed weeks ago).

The travel t&cs say there's an admin free to change flights, which is understandable, but they're not open to confirm fee prices or even if we'd be eligible to change flights seeing as we didn't buy a flexible ticket.

I seem to see some evidence of a 24hr cooling off period when using a credit card to book flights but we booked with a third party so I'm not even sure this is a thing.

I'm not expecting miracles but does anyone have any advice? It doesn't help that's it 10 30pm on a Sunday so online help is limited.
