Erroneous monthly charge from Tesco credit card

I am used to paying off my credit card account on or about the 22nd of the month.
I always pay the amount in full. On my statement dated 4 Oct - 3 Nov 2024 the balance from the previous statement is £408.78.
On 22 Oct there was a direct debit payment of just £101.78. Exactly £307.00 short.
Will I now be charged interest on this figure? Why was the full amount not debited?

@Blinkingflip Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

If you have a direct debit set up to pay the account in full and it has collected less, then if you check if you've received a refund since your last statement for the amount that's showing as the difference on the direct debit collection.

Any refunds that are received, after the statement date but before the collection date of a full payment direct debit, are taken into account and deducted from the amount collected for the month.

    I hope this helps
