Old mobile phone number still on authentication process

    My other half and I changed our Sim and mobile numbers about a year ago.
    At the same time we updated our phone numbers everywhere we needed to.
    We logged onto Tesco bank and updated the phone numbers to our new numbers.

    However, today I tried to make a payment on my phone with my Tesco Credit Card.
    The Tesco bank authentication screen came on and asked which number I wanted the One Time Password to be sent to.
    However, both of the numbers on the screen were the previous phone numbers that my other half and I changed over 1 year ago.
    I’ve double checked on my account and it shows both of our correct numbers.
    Why is the authentication request still showing both old phone numbers when we have already changed them online ?
    As we no longer have access to the old phone numbers I was unable to proceed with the payment.
    Please provide a solution otherwise this will just continue to show incorrect numbers on the authentication process.

    I'm sorry to hear about this. If you call the Credit Card team, they'll be able to check this for you.

    You can reach them on 0345 300 4278 (Mon - Fri: 8am to 9pm, Sat - Sun: 8am - 6pm) and they'll be happy to help.

    To speak to one of my colleagues, please choose option 2 and enter your security details, then press 0. If you don't have any details to hand, just press 0 and you will then be passed through.
