I opened a Junior Cash ISA yesterday. I have the allocated sort code and account number. Obviously have not yet had the postal letter to sign and return, but the confirmation page said transfers could be made immediately, yet the account details won't verify when I try to setup a payment from another bank.

Are you putting the name of the account holder on the verification page?

@ChristopherP Hi, Yes.... first I tried the child's name, then my name. Both failed, saying 'This account can't be checked.... This account number does not exist'. I'm familiar with the payment setup process on my bank, and have no doubt I've entered the correct account details.
