    Hello,

I have had my credit card for a long time now no problems. Last year around September/October I received my new card the same number as before. A few weeks after receiving the new card I received a text saying to protect my account I'd get a new card in 10 days thought perhaps the transfer to Barclays and that the card had been the same number since I opened the credit card account it was perhaps a formality thing. I have since received a further 3 text messages over the last 3 months now stating that I'd receive a new card in 10 days with another one today. Nothing has changed on my account and it's used for the same things all the time but It will be the 4th new card I receive. Why is this happening all of a sudden after the Barclays transfer?

@GLENW1 Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

From time to time, we'll receive notification from third party merchants/retailers to let us know they've had a security breach. When this happens, we'll replace customer's cards who have transacted with them to protect their accounts.

However, this does seem like an unusual number of replacements. I think it's best to call the Credit Card team directly for this, and they'll be able to take a closer look for you.

    You can reach them on 0345 300 4278 (Mon - Fri: 8am to 9pm, Sat - Sun: 8am - 6pm) and they'll be happy to help.

To speak to one of my colleagues, please choose option 2 and enter your security details, then press 0. If you don't have any details to hand, just press 0 and you will then be passed through.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks just done that not much more help than what you've mentioned here. I don't use it in many places so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which service is triggering it.
