My direct debit for the whole balance usually comes out around the 2nd or 3rd of the month but hasn't been taken out for February, yet.

I’m sorry to hear that your Direct Debit hasn’t collected, and you are having to contact us.

It can be that if you’ve had refunds through to the account, since the last statement was generated, that total more than the Direct Debit due amount then it won’t collect as the refunds are taken as payment.
