Why cant I speak to an advisor? I had the unpleasant experience of my wifes credit card being refused in a restaurant on Saturday and it was the only credit card we were carrying. I had previously contacted Tesco because it was such a long time since she used it, she did not know the chip and pin code. They sent her a letter with the code and I did not realise at the time that its the same one as for my card. Thankfully I had just about the right amount of cash to pay and assumed that if I found an ATM it would just be a matter of entering the code. I tried a Halifax ATM at Tottenham court road and the card was refused. Tried again at a Natwest ATM in front of Tescos and it still failed. I assume the wrong code has been sent to her - or is it a case that both my card and my wifes share the same code? Either way it doesn't work and it very frustrating. My card still works
