After 3 years of correctly taking my credit card Direct debit, this month Tesco did not take it. I have not altered my DD, there is plenty of money in my account and the full amount is way lower than my limit. Why has it not been taken and might Tesco try to charge me for their mistake?

@Fred2016 Hi Fred, thank you for raising your concerns.
Can I ask, what type of DD do you have set up? Does it normally collect the full amount? -
@Connor
Hi yes it does -
@Fred2016 With a full payment DD (or previous statement DD) it does update more often to account for other payments; any form of money coming into the account whether it's a refund or a payment from yourself.
You have likely had some money come back onto the account that covers what was outstanding on your last bill, so the DD didn't need to collect. If that is the case, then there will be no fees charged as the balance was covered. -
@ConnorM
Thank you, that will explain it. I got a ferund from TUI that more than covered the amount owing. I assumed that would show up on next month's bill. Thank you once again. Colin.
