I used my Credit Card on the 6/3 to make a payment to Pembrokeshire County Council. The process failed and the payment did not go through but the transaction has been listed on my Credit card as pending.
I have spoken with the customer service team at the council and they have confirmed the transaction did not succeed. Can the pending transaction be cancelled please.

Unfortunately, once something has been approved by us and appears in pending, we cannot cancel it ourselves the merchant (in this case the council) must cancel the transaction with us.

If the merchant has confirmed no payment was taken on their end however, this transaction should not clear on and will drop off the account on its own after 7-10 days and any allocate funds returned to you.
