I have my card set up to take direct debit but it was never attempted and then I was hit with late payment fee the first of which I knew was when it was posted. I’m trying to find out why the DD wasn’t attempted and if it will be the same situation again next month. It’s also very frustrating to have a late payment fee when I specifically chose DD to avoid these situations

If you send a private message, we'll check to see why your direct debit wasn't collected. Generally, this can happen if a change is made to the instruction (i.e. the amount to collect) which can result in a manual payment being required.
