Overpayment interest rebate delay

    Hi

Is anyone else experiencing delays in the credit of an interest rebate when they make an overpayment on their loan?

I regularly overpay, and usually the interest rebate is credited within a day or two. Recently however, this is taking much longer.

I made an overpayment 2 weeks ago and still haven't received my rebate credit. I called Tesco yesterday who were apologetic and promised to action this during the afternoon and send a confirmation email. I've checked my loan account and emails this morning and still NOTHING.

I'm unsure what else to do, surely if Tesco is experiencing delays or staffing issues, they should be upfront with their customers and not be making promises they can't keep.

    Anyone else experiencing similar?

    Thanks

@Poakesy Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

I'm sorry to hear about this and understand your frustration with the delays in the process.

Recently there has been an incident which has meant that we've had to manually process a number of overpayments. The usual timescale for this is 10 days, however due to a recent surge in volumes this time has increased I'm afraid.

I'm sorry that you were promised an email which didn't materialise. If you send a private message, we'll be able to look into that for you.

    Hello Tesco

How long should it take for an interest rebate credit to be added to my account?

I made an overpayment more than 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks
