How do I pay cash into my credit card?

My mum has given me some money to pay off my card. I bank with Nationwide who don't process the Giro for credit cards. Can I go into a Barclays considering that it is now owned by them? I don't want to be charged particularly. I would put it in my current account and transfer, but I am currently going through a divorce and don't want the amount going in the account to be questioned (my ex WILL make anything he can into an issue).

@Rae79 Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

If using cash you would need to use your own bank, I'm afraid. If you were able to use a cheque, then you can take it a bank branch and make the payment using the giro slip - however some branches may charge for this service.

I hope this clarifies things for you.
