Hi,

I have recently applied a card and did balance transfer £8,000 with 0.99% fees 18-month. I received the e-statement today and I need to pay £80 min payment.

Would like to ask if the handling fees not included in the balance transfer loan and need to pay the handling fees (£80) before the due date.

Good question! The fee is added to your overall balance and won't be paid separately, this is factored into your minimum payments.

So I just need to pay the minimum payments and leave the 0% transferred balance until the due date. Is my understanding correct.

@BT1 That is correct. If there is any balance remaining from your transfer on the 0% expiry date, it will start attracting interest from then.

I’ve received the June 2025 statement and this month the min payment is £120. My balance transfer and fees as follows:

4 Jun £8000 balance transfer to card
4 Jun £79.2 balance transfer fee
14 Jun £4000 balance transfer to card
14 Jun £39.6 balance transfer fee

The June statement cutoff on 5 Jun asked to pay the min balance £80 which I’ve settled it before the deadline.

This month, the July statement dated on 5 July asked me to pay the min pay balance £120. I would like to check if the min payment is correct? I’m using the 0% balance transfer for 18-month.
