Hi.
Can someone please explain to me why the direct debit was still taken out when I had made a payment that covered the amount of the dd plus more after the statement had been produced. I had over paid so assumed because it covered the payment due, the dd would not be taken out. If I do this on my other credit card the payment due would re-calculate to 0 and the dd would not be taken. Please help.

@dionnecb01 Hey there, thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry to hear about that.

This could happen if the payment was made whilst the Direct Debit payment was processing. If you call the Credit Card team, they'll be able to check this for you.

You can reach them on 0345 300 4278 (Mon - Fri: 8am to 9pm, Sat - Sun: 8am - 6pm) and they'll be happy to help.

To speak to one of my colleagues, please choose option 2 and enter your security details, then press 0. If you don't have any details to hand, just press 0 and you will then be passed through.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I made the payment well before the dd would have been processed. I did it a few days after the payment due was posted on my statement. I will give them a call. Thanks again.
