I just rang cust serv to get my early payment to be processed, I got a lecture to say payment on hold as no statement to pay? Is it wrong to pay early? If payment not put through I cant use card, what am I supposed to do? She put through payment reluctantly. So in future is there anything I should do? Waiting a month seems ridiculous. Sorry to go on but feel that I am doing something wrong.

As no one has answered my query do I need to raise a complaint?

@Sianzo Hey there, thanks for getting in touch!

I'm sorry that you felt you were given a lecture by my colleague. Your payment can sometimes be held if you pay an amount that's higher than your credit limit within a statement period or if you pay more than your last statement balance. Although it's difficult for me to say without having looked at your account, your early payment has likely taken your payment over that threshold in this instance and that has led to your payment being held. I do appreciate this is frustrating though.

Your payment due date is 25 days after your statement produces. You can find out all the ways you can pay your card, including by Direct Debit here, this can help you avoid this in future. If you'd like to raise a complaint, you can do so here - How to complain - Complaints - Tesco Bank
