Pending Payment transaction not completed

    I tried to pay for a hotel booking online and the bank asked for approval on the payment. I went to the banking app to approve the payment and when I came back to hotel app the app had crashed and not completed the booking. The payment went through on my card and is now a pending payment. As the transaction on the hotel site didn't go through does this mean the pending payment will drop off and my avaliable balance will go back to normal? Or do I need to ring tesco bank to cancel this? I still need to book the hotel but I don't want to do this until the money is back.

    I'm sorry to hear about this. We're not able to cancel pending transactions, I'm afraid. The payment will drop off and be returned to your available balance within around 7 days.
