Credit card direct debit

I have just done a balance transfer to pay off my Tesco credit card. It went through yesterday and the balance is zero. However, my direct debit is set to still pay out on the 1st of July. I realise it may be too late to stop it, but what is the process of getting that money back? Will there be charges?
    Thanks!

Hey @bethkbax , thanks for getting in touch😀.

We start the direct debit collection process 3 working days before we collect your direct debit so this may already be in process. You can try cancel the direct debit with your bank directly.

If the payment goes through on the 1st, please call your bank and ask them to complete a direct debit indemnity and they will put the funds back in your bank account. There will be no fees associated with this as long as a payment reaches us before your due date. The balance transfer would classify as a payment.

    I hope this helps!
