Over Limit Fee

    I have just received the above charge on my account but am baffled as to why. I have been within £300 of my credit limit and always pay off the balance each month. Any ideas? I have tried to call but can't get through to actually speak to someone.

    I received a letter telling me I had missed a payment, when I had always paid the day after receiving a statement! I know it's not the same thing as you had, but just as disconcerting.

    Hi , an overlimit fee is charged automatically at any point where your credit limit has been exceeded. We’re unable to discuss account specifics over social media but we would be able to run through all of this with you over the phone. You can reach the team on 0345 300 4278 (24/7), on the automated system just press 2 for general enquiries, enter your details then press 0 on the second play-through of options to speak with an adviser.
    Without giving us a call, you can calculate your balance to see if it exceeded your limit, by taking your previous statement balance and adding up the transactions on the statement to this amount.

    , I’m sorry to hear that. Have you checked online or on your mobile app to see when we received the payment? A payment would have to be received within the payment period to avoid being missed or late. This period ranges from the day after your statement is produced up to your payment due date.
