Acceptance to open a Current Account

    Hello all,
Last month of May I applied online for a current account with TESCO Bank and didn't received eny e-mail of confirmation, just a message on the web saying you'll contact me for further requirements, such as documents. All right. Two weeks later I received a letter requesting my ID and proof of address and I sent those. 3 or 4 weeks later I received a letter confirming the documents were received and saying you'd contact me shortly. That was at the end of July, now it's September, Can I know if this long wait is normal? Why does it take so long? I submitted the application in May and now we are in September... I don't think that could be normal...

    Thanks,
    Sara

Hello , I am really sorry that this process is taking so long! This is not our normal timescales for account opening. We'll need to take a look into this to find out what's happening. You can either give us a call to chase this up or contact us privately via social media. We can be contacted on Facebook, Twitter (using our @tescobankhelp handle) or by sending a private message to our .

We'll need your full name, DOB and postcode confirmed along with your query. If contacting on Facebook or Twitter please ensure you send any details privately. If contacting here, then please ensure a space is left between each of the characters in your DOB and postcode, otherwise our system will remove them for security.

And finally, our contact number is 0345 835 3353, my colleagues are available 24/7 should you decide to call.
