Hi Tesco Bank Community,

However, as a current mortgage customer, I am deeply concerned about Tesco Bank's ethical standing regarding ethics; please see the following link where Tesco Bank is listed at the bottom: http://www.ethicalconsumer.org/buyer...mortgages.aspx

I'm hoping perhaps that information was simply not supplied to Ethical Consumer, hence the bad mark, although I fear not too. I cannot see any information regarding where Tesco Bank invests its funds on its website; is anyone able to provide me with some information on this? I am especially concerned about any support of intensive animal farming and environmental damage (but all ethically problematic matters too of course).

Thanks very much indeed, Scott :) I'm grateful for a response, however long it may take :) I asked the same question on Tesco Bank Facebook page and received the answer that the staff managing the Facebook page are not allowed to divulge such information... Howver, I presume Tesco Bank is a public limited company (as it's owned by Tesco plc) meaning they are obliged to share such information.... If I subscribe to the Ethical Consumer magazine then I imagine I will have access to more detailed information. I will likely do this, however, I would also be interested in knowing how Tesco responds to their position as the bottom of the ethical ranking and how they justify it. Hi again Scott,Just to add that I have now subscribed to Ethical Consumer and have some detailed info. It's going to be difficult to share it with you without your subscription to Ethical Consumer too! I presume someone at Tesco plc/Tesco Bank will have looked into these findings/tis report in detail though...Many thanks,Jenny :)
