Hi, I am trying to set up payments to two Virgin Money accounts from my Current Account. No matter what I type into the Reference/Roll Number field the system keeps telling me it must be something valid. I have not encountered this with any of my other transfers where it is a free field to type in what I want. Any suggetsion? Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that . Have you used any special characters (?!~ etc) in the text box? The reference should really be for the receiving bank so you can tell where your payments are coming from. Hi, The issue is because I was transferring money to Minors.There is a strict control on these movements for tax and money laundering purposes.A randon description is not enough, I have to quote a reference given by the receiving bank on behalf of my Granddaughters.
