Current account locked after a failed savings account application

    This is so frustrating and puzzling. I opened a current account over 12 months ago without issue but for some reason when I recently applied for an Internet Saver the account became locked. I was told the current account is under review following my Saver application (which failed) and the checks they did, but I've just got a bad feeling about this. 7 years ago I went through bankruptcy so I'm wondering if it's related. If the old discharged bankruptcy is the reason then why was my current account application successful 12 months ago? I can't remember the exact words they used on the phone but it was something to do with their Internet Saver checks finding me not suitable as a customer. Nothing in my personal life has changed sinse I applied for the current account, and my credit files are spotless. But it must be to do with that old bankruptcy. I wish they hadn't got me settled already and 2 Direct Debits are due to take soon :S
