Payment Break and Credit Report

    Hello,

    Please can someone contact me regarding the missed loan payments Tesco bank have put on my credit file. These were payment breaks accepted as part of the COVID 19 payment holidays.

    My credit report is now down over 71 points.

    I have called a number of times however, there is no indication by staff of when his report will be rectified. For all we know this might not get dealt with for another year! We understand you are all busy however; an indication of when this would be sorted is required as it will affect us long term.

    I posted this on facebook and was told to put it on here.

    Hello I'm sorry to hear this.This is on FAQ's on this site: Will my credit file be impacted if I take a COVID-19 payment break?Provided your request is solely due to the impact of COVID-19, we’ll make sure there’s no impact on your credit file.If you’ve had confirmation that your COVID-19 payment break has been applied then there is nothing to be concerned about.There are some letters which will continue to be sent to you including some that suggest you are in arrears and we appreciate that receiving these can be distressing. Unfortunately we have been unable to stop these going out but want to reassure you that you can ignore them as long as you’ve received confirmation that the payment break is in place.Should you want someone at Tesco Bank to look into this you can send a 'Private Message'.Click on & it will take you to a page 'About Tesco Bank'. In the top right of the page click 'Send a Message', a new page opens up 'Create New Message'. Complete & send your message securely. Remember to include your full name, date of birth & postcode.Hope this helps!
