Bermondsey Spa Tesco ATM alarm

Hello, I live very close to the Bermondsey Spa Tesco.

The ATM alarm constantly goes off, sometimes multiple times a night for periods of about 30 minutes. The alarm is in the loading bay & the sound is unbearably loud as it echoes outwards. In no way should the alarm be going off this frequently & for so long. This has been a problem for years now & nothing has been permanently fixed. There are people literally living above the Tesco.

Please can you escalate this & fix this problem ASAP. This sound is incredibly distressing & disruptive. Sometimes it affects sleep. If nothing is done about it & I don't receive assurances that something is done about it at a fast pace, I'll attempt to escalate this to the council.

Tesco is supposed to serve the local community & at the moment this particular branch is failing. It's not good enough for the management team to apologise, assure us that something is being done about it, give us a box of chocolates by way of apologies & nothing to actually change.

Apologies for the long & frustrated message. I hope this has gone to the right place.

    Many thanks
    Tom

@Tomweb Hey there Tom, thanks for getting in touch!

There's no need to apologise about this and I completely understand your concern. I can only imagine how disruptive it must be.

We can't deal with this specifically here, but I will pass the message across to the ATM manager at Tesco IMS.

Before I do so, can you please confirm it's this store that you're referring to?

@Tomweb Thanks for clarifying. I've passed the details on and have been informed that although they're not responsible for the alarms, they will be contacting the store directly to ask them to resolve this as soon as possible.

If they get back to me with further information, I will message you directly.

I hope you have a lovely weekend, and thanks again for reaching out about this.
