Payments IN

    Hi. I've got what I think is an intriguing problem. I am getting payments in to my current account and I don't know where they're from (I've had 3 in the last couple of weeks). They are shown as "Received money within the UK" and there is a bank sort code and an account number shown. However, I do not recognise either of these numbers so I haven't a clue where they're from. They do not tally with any of my regular payments out, or with my list of occasional payees, either.Has anyone any ideas about how I find out where these payments are from, please? Rod

    It was just an internal change as how payments were displayed and nothing more. However, I have recorded your comments as feedback.

    Hi.It's always the way, isn't it? You ask a question and then the answer suddenly appears - before any Community member has a chance to answer!! I also found a payment out to the same account and a big one at that - which freaked me out a bit!! So I then checked on my mobile app: while it still shows Payment Out within the UK, it turns out to be to my Internet Saver Account!! The Payments In have also been from that account. The 2 accounts are linked accounts so why, Tesco Banking, can you not make it more obvious, please? I'm sure that, in the past, it has been obvious: why has it changed? Rod

    Hi EileenM. Thanks for the reply. I've just rechecked my accounts - I've got a Current Account and an Internet Saver Account and I transfer money between them regularly. Up to and including 19th October 2018 these were described as Payments In or Out and amplified as "Internal Transfer". From 23rd October they were then decribed as "Receiving money within the UK" or "Sending money within the UK". It was the change of description that caused my confusion. Why did this change happen?

    Hi , we aren't made aware of why these changes have been put in place as it was a business decision. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

    HiCan you nudge an elbow among upper management and ask why? I'm surprised no-one else has questioned it - maybe I'm just not with it??!! LOL (can't find any emojis!!)
