Hi all,

I have a 9 month money transfer interest free period and also a 27 month balance transfer interest free period.

When I am making payments to my account on a monthly basis - how does it allocate these payments.

e.g Say I have done a money transfer of £500 and a balance transfer of £1000. Say I pay £75 a month for the first 9 months = £675. Will I then be charged interest on the money and balance transfer still or because I have off at least £500, will this then technically clear the money transfer balance? OR are they just charged at the standard rate after this so its all blended and doesn't either way anyway?

Hey @cjp1993, if these are the only 2 balances on your account, all payments would be allocated to the money transfer balance first until it was fully paid off. I hope this helps!

@JoeC Thanks, what if there is also spending balance?

@cjp1993 Is the purchase balance on a 0% period as well? If not, payments will first be allocated to that balance each month, and anything extra (more than the total purchase balance) will go to the money transfer balance.
