Hi, I applied for a Tesco loan on Friday, signed the agreement online etc and was approved almost instantly. I received an email to tell me it was approved (the exact words were ‘everything’s sorted, sit back and relax’) and I would receive the funds within 48 hours or 2 working days. With this information I have arranged the collection and payment of my new car for today (Wednesday) sorted the insurance to start today etc. However still no funds. I called the helpline who could see I did everything correct but there was a note saying it was under going ‘further checks’. They could not specify what these checks were or how long it would take. This has now become an extremely stressful situation and I am in limbo. Anyone else in this situation? How long will it take? Why send an email literally saying ‘everything’s sorted’ if it actually isn’t? This is terrible communication and customer service.
