The other day I paid off my credit card balance in the Tesco bank app, and then the same day the balance was paid by direct debit so the money has been taken from me twice. How do I get this refunded back to me?

The quickest way to get the funds collected by direct debit returned to you is to request a direct debit indemnity with your own bank. They should be able to refund the funds on the same working day, so it is best to contact them in the first instance.
