Why does it take so long for a tax refund cheque to clear I'm now on my 6th day and still not cleared it's a tax refund so it's not as if the money isn't there the clearing system with you is disgusting having to wait so long for it to be cleared

phone and tell them you want to make a complaint. Mine cleared within a hour when I did this. I was initially told they hadn't received the cheque. My husband banks at a different bank. He paid a cheque last Thursday it cleared over night Friday!! Why can't Tesco do this too??

I rang they told me they hadn't received cheque yet and when they do it would take another 6 days there chequing service is disgusting I'm putting a complaint in
